BPs internal investegation
BP has published its internal investigation team's report into the accident on the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico on 20 April 2010.


The National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling (The presidental comission)
The Commission has examined the relevant facts and circumstances concerning the root causes of the Deepwater Horizon explosion and developing options to guard against, and mitigate the impact of, any oil spills associated with offshore drilling in the future.

Oil & Gas UK
Oil & Gas UK has established the Oil Spill Prevention and Response Advisory Group (OSPRAG) to provide a focal point for the sector’s review of the industry's practices in the UK, in advance of the conclusion of investigations into the Gulf of Mexico incident.

International Association og Oil and Gas Producers (OGP)
OGP's Global Industry Response Group (GIRG) was established on 14 July 2010, aims to ensure that the lessons learned from Macondo are applied around the world. To do that, the GIRG's remit is to monitor and collate the outcomes of the official Macondo investigations. This process is also helping to identity – and to answer – other questions about Macondo and deepwater operations.

The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority
In connection with the accident onboard the Deepwater Horizon rig on 20 April 2010, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) is working on a number of different scenarios.
