The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on considerations for each step of the decommissioning process, from start-up to final closure and environmental monitoring. It must be noted that each decommissioning project presents unique challenges, and adaptations will be necessary. This document serves solely as a reference and guide for those involved in liquidation activities.
The experiences presented are taken from projects on the Norwegian continental shelf, gathered by a team from the member companies of Offshore Norge's specialist network for decommissioning. The content has also been reviewed by other members of the network to ensure comprehensive coverage of relevant issues.
