Pay talks start 2 May

This year’s negotiations for the collective pay agreements, which the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association is a party, to begin on 2 May. A number of settlements are due to be reached.

The talks will be conducted at industry level, which involves a full revision of all the agreements. About 19 000 unionised workers are covered by the negotiations.

Dates for the talks

2-4 May            Offshore agreements

9-11 May          Oil service agreements (OSA)

18-20 May       Land base agreements

23-25 May       Land agreements

The other parties to the offshore agreements are the Norwegian Union of Industry and Energy Workers (Industry Energy), the Norwegian Union of Energy Workers (Safe) and the Norwegian Organisation of Managers and Executives.

Industry Energy and Safe negotiate with Norwegian Oil and Gas over the oil service agreements.

Talks on the offshore and oil service agreements primarily cover workers employed offshore. The offshore agreements apply to operator, drilling and catering companies, while the oil service agreements cover workers both offshore and on land in oil service companies.

Negotiations on the other agreements which Norwegian Oil and Gas is a party to will be conducted in the second half of May – first for the land bases and then for workers on land. Negotiations are pursued with Industry Energy and Parat in the first case, and with Industry Energy and Safe in the second.
