Offshore Norway and the trade union Styrke held negotiations on Wednesday 27 May on the onshore base agreements, which cover approximately 875 employees at supply bases along the Norwegian coast.
By evening, the parties remained too far apart, and the negotiations ended in a breakdown. The disagreement included, among other things, a demand for a collectively agreed right to advance payment of sickness benefits, parental benefits and care benefits.
The date for mediation will be decided later.
The onshore base agreements are minimum pay agreements, with pay determined through local negotiations in each individual company. Most of the approximately 875 employees covered by the identically worded agreements are organised through Styrke, while a small number are members of Parat. The employees work for the following companies:
KCA Deutag Drilling Norge AS, ASCO Norge AS, CCB AS, CCB Mongstad AS, Helgelandsbase AS, NorSea Group AS, NorSea Property AS, NorSea Logistics AS, NorSea Polarbase AS, Saga Fjordbase AS and Kristiansund Base AS.
