Mediation on the supply base agreement under way

Offshore Norge and the trade union Styrke have entered mediation with the National Mediator in Oslo in an effort to reach a new collective agreement covering approximately 875 employees at supply bases along the Norwegian coast.

Offshore Norge and Styrke held negotiations on Wednesday 27 May on the supply base agreements, which apply to around 875 employees at supply bases along the Norwegian coastline.

The parties were unable to reach an agreement, and the settlement was therefore referred to mediation. These mediation proceedings started today at the Office of the National Mediator in Oslo. If these mediations do not result in agreement, a total of 95 employees at the supply bases may be taken out on strike from 25 June.

The mediation takes place on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 June, with a deadline at midnight on 24 June. The mediator is Anne Cathrine Frøstrup.
The supply base agreements are minimum pay agreements, with wages negotiated locally at company level. The majority of the approximately 875 employees covered by the identical agreements are organised through Styrke, while a small number are members of Parat. The employees work for the following companies:

KCA Deutag Drilling Norge, ASCO Norge AS, CCB AS, CCB Mongstad AS, Helgelandsbase AS, NorSea Group AS, NorSea Property AS, NorSea Logistics AS, NorSea Polarbase AS, Saga Fjordbase AS and Kristiansund Base AS.
